About Me

Hello! I’m Nur, a bioinformaticist from the US. I am currently postdoctoral fellow at Pennsylvania State University in the lab of Dr. Emily Davenport.   After finishing high school, I matriculated to the Massachusetts Institute Technology in Cambridge, MA and earned a degree in Course 18 – Mathematics. Afterwards, I moved back home to pursue a masters in Statistics at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Continuing down south, I did my PhD in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill under the joint mentorship of Dr. Terry Furey and Dr. Shehzad Sheikh.
